How effective APY is calculated
Effective APY = base APY × multiplier = 9% × 1.5 = 13.5%
If you need your tokens immediately, you can perform an emergency unstake. This applies a 10% penalty and forfeits any unclaimed rewards.
What happens with a 10,000 MOON stake:
- •Your 10,000 MOON stake is processed
- •10% penalty (1,000 MOON) is sent to the staking treasury and distributed as rewards to remaining stakers
- •90% refund (9,000 MOON) is returned to your wallet
- •Any pending rewards are forfeited and will not be paid out
